A Journey to Songs

It all started as a kid in England taking those awful Royal Conservatory piano exams and then arriving in the New World and getting a black guitar with Roy Rogers and Trigger painted on the top and singing Catch a Falling Star.

But ah… the guitar. Little could be guessed that it would lead to many divergent paths in the world of music. Singing duets with my sister, plunging into the world of the 60’s and 70’s folk music scene and then, because my guitar at that time had nylon strings, accidentally discovering another world of the guitar and becoming passionately sidetracked.

That first life  as a performer and teacher in the world of classical guitar and classical composition was followed by a second life with the intriguing challenges of arts management in some major cultural institutions . You can read the bio later for a little more formal background but now it’s all about a return to the wonderful world of guitar and singing that were my real lyrical roots. The voice woke up again and here we are. Join the journey!
